Top o' the mornin' from yours truly, DogPatch1149. The name is Dana, been playing since shortly after MB came out on Steam, and loving every bit of it (even CTF, once I figured out a strategy that works most of the time). Haven't used Ventrilo yet (wife probably wouldn't like all of the talking at night Laughing ), but hope to get it sometime in the near future.

I've only added two ships - the FH-100 and FH-250. I really like the Swordfish...seems like a good overall fighter, once it's maxed out. Usually, I'm on the US East server, in the evenings anytime between 1800 and sometime in the wee hours of the next morning. Don't really have a favorite match - they've all got their good and bad points, IMHO.

I don't do too badly, even using mouse control, once I figured out that 100% throttle all of the time is not a good thing. Shocked I've been quietly watching some of the veteran and clan pilots, learning how they play so I can try and be at least half as good.

Glad to be here, thanks to the devs for a hell of a fun game, and the players that make it the most fun I've had online in a long time. Y'all rock...now get back out there! Very Happy

Welcome aboard Dana, thanks for signin' in! Very Happy

Hehheh, good on ya for figuring out the throttle jockey (something I forget half the time, derp) and definitely watch/learn - there's a video thread here and here if you haven't seen them already with some of the veterans showing their playstyles/tips/kill-records.

Aaaand... if you think it's fun now, wait 'til you get onto Vent and listen in! Talking's not required (but always encouraged — if you're able to get a word in... heh) and we have folks with no mic/silence-required who still join in the fun by typing into Vent-chat with Text-to-Speech enabled (the robot voice jokes abound).
