Salutations
Hello hello, relatively new to Moon Breakers and thought it best to say hi. If I'm going to
become disorientated or grossly misjudge my angle and then smash into you, an introduction
seems in order.
...Er, that's it. I don't have much more of an introduction. Hi!
Here's hoping to glean enough off of the scary players so that I can one day hold my own
something proper.

Heya Whimsy, welcome aboard! Get used to being disorientated, there is no up-down in this game, just the enemy and how near/far/front/behind they are, heh...
As for collisions mid-game, it happens, especially when your whole screen is whited out from a nuke explosion. Don't sweat it
Other times, like surviving the initial launch-collision disaster, especially if you're in a full-game with a light-fighter is to either dive up/down as soon as you have control of your ship. Another method is to wait in the ship-selection screen for 5-sec so you end up launching in the second wave.
Also, if you're in the count-down to launch and there's another ship in front of you -- see if you can recognise what type of ship it is - coz if you're in a light/med fighter and the one in front happens to be a bomber, there's the risk of being launched into their back-end after the initial sling-shot of acceleration falls off.
For more tips and tricks, head on over to the Game Play folder and check out the Tips for Newbies, the Pilot Primer for some keys you never knew existed, maybe ask Loki a question (he may trick you in-game but he's promised not to lie on the forum... ), definitely take a look at the Videos and don't hesitate to post if you have a query or observation you'd like to share

I'll have to work on trying to more consistently take down the people I hit then!
The welcome and advice are all appreciated!

Ram people with an A-80 or B-10X/H4B. It's the most fun.

Welcome.
As for ramming, I ram a good 50% of my kills that don't die to the initial beam hit.
