Misc. Frequently Asked Questions

Post by jazzycat on Tue Jul 10, 2012 7:53 am

Hello Moon Breakers Community!

I'd like to try and compile more random questions for the FAQ (currently a sub-section of the AFTAC Primer), as well as cross-check answers within the community for things that are and should be common knowledge. Things that aren't currently addressed anywhere else with their own guide or article (eg. Pilot/AFTAC Primers, Ask Loki, Helpful Hints), or immediately obvious (eg. see below). Right now, there's only two:

Misc FAQ wrote:Q: How much will it cost to fully upgrade a ship?
A: There are eight possible upgrades with five tiers or grades of each available.
8(1000) + 8(3000) + 8(5000) + 8(7000) + 8(15,000) = 8(31,000) = 248,000 credits
This adds up quicker than you might think, and even faster with boosts applied.

Q: How do I regain health?
A: Regenerates over time. There is a 10 second delay after being damaged before shielding starts to regenerate and you start to regain health one 'bubble' at a time. If damage is taken during regeneration the 10-second delay will kick-in again, so fly fancy/hide/return to the carrier for cover. You should see full shields restored within 10-20 seconds from fully depleted depending on your ship class and model. See your ships' stats for more info.
So throw up any questions/ideas you might have, and if you know (or think you know) the answer, include that too. I'll be digging through all the forum posts again as a refresher and to see what has been asked in the past.

There's also the following FAQ-collecting post over on UserEcho; I'll keep an eye on that too.

Help me to help you! Very Happy

Jazzy

Q: How do you play full screen on Chrome? (Mac version)

A: 1) On the Chrome top bar select "View."
1) Select "Enter Presentation Mode." You now have a full screen display.
3) Do not proceed!! You will not be able to steer your ship if you stay here.
4) From the full screen mode hover your pointer in at the top of your screen until the URL window appears and click there. (be careful not to click open a new window). Your tabs should now be stable and visible at the top of your screen.
5) Now click back into the main Moonbreakers window. This should make the tabs and url window slide up.
6) Click "play" and enjoy your game.

Beams actually have length. Not quite sure how long it is, but you can definitely juke into a shot that has already passed you and take damage/be killed by it.

Here is a fun one for you researchers.

Where is a complete breakdown of the point system(creds earned) in all three gametypes?

I.e. How many creds you get in S&D for a kill vs. CA.

Discuss.

Shall AoC moderate all up in this piece? AoC thinks AoC will...

++ Moderated++

The silliness formerly herein contained has been moved to "Trainwreck" over on the general board.

This post will be removed in the morning.
