Game seens harder

Hi all, sorry not been on in a while been really buzy with real life, is it me or are the turrents hard to get now i've been doing the same as i did before i went away, and now i can't get a turrent at all. and others seem to be able to kill me after 2 shots.

Yeah turret health was increased. rockets are the way to go now.

turret health ahsn't increased "much" more, but the values concerning standard cannon (machine guns) damage has sort of gone down. In parallel to the attacking of the turrets, so they'll have a different damage rate against other ships im pretty sure. Tell me if i'm wrong.

The turrets come in two types now;
Exterior Turrets: identical to previous except they have 10000 hp instead of 3500

Interior Turrets: there are 4 turrets inside and while they are still invincible, they are armed with Heavy Beam Cannons. These do 1000 points of damage + 15% of your remaining health. They're extremely lethal, so stay away if you can.

Because the turrets are much tougher now, ships with rockets are recommended; rockets do 200 damage + 25% of the remaining health of the target. Try out a G5 Kingfisher on the turrets and see how you do; the fast cannon has had a major damage boost and combined with fast-loading rockets, it can tear up turrets pretty quickly. Sidewinder, Krait, & Mamba are also decent against turrets.

forgot to mention that turrets track much better than they used to (they adjust every 0.5s instead of every 1-2s like before).

a lot of weapons have been given a large non-zero amount for bonus dmg. bonus dmg of 10% means you will do at least 10% of their current health in damage, and this never drops below the base (normal) damage.

for example: say a rocket does 250 dmg with 25% bonus. vs a ship with 1200 hp left this will do 300 dmg (25%) upon impact, leaving 900hp. another rocket will not do 25% of 900 in dmg ( = 225 ), instead it will be 250 because 25% here is smaller than the base dmg.

beams have it at 10%, rockets have it around 20%-25% (i forget, figures are in the forum somewhere) stingray's cannon has it around 30% or so, etc...

yeah I checked that as well. im not too fussed. I just try and own as much as possible... makes life easier not thinking how hard it is, but focusing on the massacre.
