Screw arrow to the knee, I took a stingray to the foot, literally!
Well, we were retrieving a crab pot with a kayak down here, in 5 foot seas (scale model of "deadliest catch" come to think of it) and coming in I was holding the cage full of very, very ticked off crab, while my friend paddled us in. As we came in, one of those 5 foot swells (courtesy of tropical storm Debbie) became a 7 foot breaker and our puny kayak didn't stand a chance. We rolled, I gripped the crab pot (dinner) and landed
On the probable reason for the purple flag I saw earlier: a stingray. Trip to the doc and minor surgery later I cant walk for a few days, good news is I get back tonight, so excuse to be on moonbreakers? I think so.

Oh and docs are especially mean to these types of injuries, they had to debris it (which hurt like CRAP) and take fractured pieces of the tail out of my foot. The crab was tasty though. Very tasty.

yeah i generally love black humor but honestly i felt sad when that happened to steve, my experience was before his death and when that happened i said oh boy those things are dangerous after all, and in some way i felt less like coward for running away like a little girl when that one chased me

The irony of your forum-name being Hunter as well...
Love a good crab feed, hey! And yeah getting all those fragments out would've hurt like heck! Better than infection/gangrene/blood poisoning/no foot though... Hope all goes well as you heal up mate, will see you in-game then

Well, surgery was not needed yesterday, infection still there and still antibiotic resistant, so if it randomly goes south I have to go into emergency surgery to get it cleaned out. On the flip side my immune system could get off of it's hindquarters and things could recover quickly too... It's all a crapshoot at this point. I'm on some pretty powerful painkillers (sorry DMHS now for my flying) and haven't slept in 5 days due to pain levels. All fun fun lol, prayers are
Appreciated.

Don't even worry about it. That's some potentially serious shit you are dealing with. Take some some happy pills, get some rest and heal the hell up.

that sucks hunter as agent said thats some serious shit so take your time and do whatever the doctors tell you
as for the 5 days without sleeping that sucks even more, maybe if you ask the doctors they give you a more powerful dose?, i remember when i fell from a mountain on holidays, my left foot was a complete disaster thankfully my dad is a doctor and he gave me a really powerful painkiller, i dont remember its name all i know is that its banned today because it blows your heart but on the bright side i was walking without any help in a few hours lol

Yea infection is basically just holding a steady line now, neither antibiotics nor my immune system can crack it yet. Worst part is, I'm going to go to a music camp to play with TRANS SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA (some of em) and doc says if it ain't better or an operation has to be done I can't go... Dang. Surgery still not out of the question but looking less likely for the complications it may cause (it can be great being allergic to everything (sarcasm)

Thanks! Just found out I get to go if I behave myself and actually follow doctors' orders and all that jazz. So I'll be signing off MB gameplay for a week but I'll still be trolling the forums!
