Good players.
I've seen many, many people playing Moon Breakers. Some are better bombers, others are better attackers. Either way, everybody has a different style of play.
What I'd like to know is this: Who do you think is better, and what ship are they better in?
Some guidelines will be as follows:
As of the time of posting this, my votes are as follows:
FM-25 Nighthawk - Nightwing
B-10T Timberwolf - Mogwai
FH-250 Swordfish - Mogwai
What I'd like to know is this: Who do you think is better, and what ship are they better in?
Some guidelines will be as follows:
- One self-vote will be allowed per person. This means that a person can post one ship that they believe they are best at, when compared to others.
- Any number of votes for other people will be accepted. This means that there is no limit voting for what ships others are best at.
- Preferred posting style will be as follows: "Ship name - Pilot name"
- Votes can be disputed, but you must give a valid reason why.
As of the time of posting this, my votes are as follows:
FM-25 Nighthawk - Nightwing
B-10T Timberwolf - Mogwai
FH-250 Swordfish - Mogwai

I'm not sure what you mean.
Is it that the ship doesn't matter, or is it a Chuck Norris "He doesn't need a ship, because he IS a ship" thing?
If it's a Chuck Norris thing, I reserve the right to point at you and laugh...
Re: Good players.
Well you can point & laugh if you wish. You wouldn't if you met Jiel in MB. Thing is there have been many highly skilled players who faded away months ago, and who would have very little trouble cleaning the board with most (not all) current pilots.
Which leads me to wonder, is this thread about guys who are currently taking A80s and zap-zap tubs up against the newbies in their F3s and Rhinos, or is it inclusive of all who've gone before?

Re: Good players.
I imagined it as pointing out talented pilots that you've fought recently, but if you want to mention people that no longer play, all I ask is that you actually indicate that they no longer play.
Also, if you want to vote for an old player, they must be better than all of the current players in the same ship.
I'm not talking about the "I have two kills, he had three" kind of better. I'm talking about having overwhelming skill, essentially the "I had two kills, he had 60" kind of better.

Re: Good players.
While I understand that this thread was made with minor circle-jerking intended; why pair a pilot with a ship? IMO, the people who belong on this list are the ones who are great with multiple ships and can pick/counter pick depending on the enemy team.
Being a green member I'm constantly astounded by the people who do this. I happily focus each and every missile bearing ship I encounter, leading to pleeennnntyy of experience popping their missiles with rockets. These guys truly aren't good pilots, and I can say that with two weeks experience. = /
I like to imagine their look of terror as my Mamba cuts through the smoke left from a rocket to missile explosion, machine-guns calling for blood.
NOTE: Just upgraded to an F-3x yesterday, but this scene is so much more gratifying in a Mamba.

Re: Good players.
Yeah... My best ships are the Mamba for turret-busting, and my Nighthawk for dogfighting...
Lemme tell you, it is freakin' awesome when you can pop all 16 carrier turrets in a Mamba. My average time to get rid of all of the turrets is on the order of 2-3 minutes...
As for missile ships? My strategy is to weather the first missile salvo (Which leaves me at about 25% health...) and then I enter a "turning duel" with the enemy pilot.
Barring outside interference, I win those duels about seven times out of ten.

Re: Good players.
understand but I have to vote for the guys I know, I fly with you once or twice when you visit EU, so I cannot be objective... therefore, I vote for Adama.
all of these are mainly from EU... i believe there is maybe even better pilots on US/another server, but I do not know them... it would be great to make some big game "invited only"

Some of which I remember:
One vs One duelling ranking:
1. Jiel aka Mercurius aka Marmite
2. hills aka Deviant Saint aka 異常者セント
3. Abstractness aka Afro Samurai
4. X..
5. Jack TheRapist aka Viking Jack
Killing many people ranking:
Abstractness: 69 kills in X-99
The Fool: 68 kills in G5
Rabbanah: 64 kills in FM-25
Belshirash: 55 kills in FM-25
Jiel: 53 kills in F-3X
old ships:
M3: hizzleShizzle, Loki
FH-200: X.., Abstractness
F-3X: hills, Jiel

I was going to vote Rabbanah for the Mamba!
I agree with Longshot; most of the pilots that I call to mind have come and gone, and I'm not as up to date on the new ones as I should be...
Rabbanah: F3
Abstractness: F-3X, X-99
Viking Jack: X-99
Deviant Saint: F-3X, M3
SuperKen: V-66
Jiel/Mercurius: light fighters, particularly the F-3X
X: FH-200 (I still have not seen his equal in a Piranha, though Facundo came close)
Complex Lain: B-10G, B-10X, B-7
The Anger: FM-25, M-10
Loki: FH-90 (trying to decide if this is my narcissism or if I just don't see other Stingray pilots; feel free to argue)
Loki: B-10T (again, feel free to argue, but have yet to see anyone fly it like I do [which is only ever in Carrier Assault, which should count for something])
Not sure if the A80 Barracuda should count, but the first ace in that monster was Ferc Polo.
hizzleShizzle() gets an honourable mention for being the first M3 ace I saw, though I have a strong suspicion he was Ed Byrne from IMBA, so I don't know if he should count.
Sola Gratia (Anonymous Samurai) & Electric Code: early bomber aces
I'm sure there's lots of others, but nobody is coming to mind at the moment except the old players. Perhaps I need to play more often than I have been

Yes. Please.
I'd love to go a few rounds against you.
From all that I've heard, you're a force to be reckoned with in-game...
Re: Good players.
As good as Delyrius is, I am going to give my A80 vote to Reapers Kilo. there again,. he is my son so I might be biased
Re: Good players.
So many good names...
A few i can remember. Against anger i had never stood a chance... No matter he lagged on EU server...
Corny: awesome dogfighter in his F3X. Just like Akuma Ladat, Raptorkam.
Belsirash: best allrounder i have ever seen. Excels in everything. German precision, i guess. Not in everything... Never seen him in heavies i think.
And there are so many good players, sry for not cycling through all of you.
But i have a little message to anger: i have my first OPTICAL gamer mouse... I have to get used to it, so prepare urself.
My problem that players from across big waters always lag at EU servers. So do i, on their servers... Hard to play it right when it happens..:S

Re: Good players.
well good players i can only name the ones i knew but i can't put them some order of who is better since i only had a duel against abstractness
so here are some names
X: X99 merlin
deviant saint: Viper and merlin
abstractness: X99 merlin
agent of change: FH250
foxhound: FH250
marvin swarve: kraid
there were more very good snipers with the kraid before the patch that made the nighthawk the best lazer ship only that i can only remember marvin and hunter
as for jiel longshot is right he doesn't need a ship he is like a sentient massive rainbow of primordial energy that kills anything in sight, everytime the servers crash you think its a bug but in fact its jiel destroying the MB universe with his mere presence only that he does that 7 times faster than the speed of light and you don't even notice, some pilots would say that he is omnipotent but we all know that the true eldrith deity in MB its the pirate commander's mother in law no matter if you kill 9.000 prestige ships in a mamba she will always be better than you as the pirate commander remembers you any time you die
i hope my post enlightened you and a few more ppl

Don't know if I agree with you in the Old Ships.... I think Lord Static would be up there with X... and you. I remember one night of him playing hide and seek with X and I, while he was in his Piranha

Re: Good players.
tbh i was wondering how long it would take before a 'look at my e-peen' thread started here... lol... when in rome...
that said, my skills aren't what they used to be owing to my lack of a decent challenge when i happen to be playing... so it's hard to say where i stand... that and i haven't been playing much since december...
for that same reason (im in bloody australia, mate ) it's hard to say how everyone has progressed since i've run into them last (i don't judge skill on rumor). i suggest you try to catch me playing to see how you go ill be sure to be on more if i know there's a challenge waiting...
oh, btw, i have played belshirash (with/against, cant remember), and at the time i felt that this was the only active player who stood a chance of keeping up with my beaming shenanigans (rated by accuracy and consistency, not kill count since i don't recall a time i could be bothered grinding noobs for that trophy). no offense to fellow beamers, just stating it how i saw it then.
pps, adama, hit missiles consistently with your new mouse and then we will see

I vote The Anger on this one... O_O He has accuracy like a freaking Aimbot...Shade wrote:I vote for Rabbanah in the fm-25
I can get a nice 55+ kill in one S&D match, but whenever Anger is online and in the same match (and not playing around), I wither away and say my goodbyes to my Nighthawk... :/
@Longshot, - Jiel... O_O Ermagerd, what happened to Jiel? I haven't seen Jiel in months and months (and months... and months...)... ... ... ... ... ... ...

Wow, I haven't seen some of those names in ages. Such a shame I don't see Jiel, Foxhound, Agent, and Deviant around anymore. There's few of us who are still occasionally playing. I play for the sake of seeing how people are enjoying it, etc.
Yes, I agree with you there. I wouldn't say Omnipotent, - I'd say a lot more. O_O
And as you and Longshot have already said, - Jiel does not even need a ship lmfao.
