Another Glitch

I was playing today on MB and S&D just started. Just after the game started I found myself in my f-3x and the timer was 15:00. I was the first one to leave the carrier.

Originally you could choose your ship before the game started in the lobby and then take off immediately at game start.
The real glitch is that this didn't work anymore when the game went on steam. Seems like it worked for you.

I didn't choose my F-3X.

Before steam you could choose the ship, close the ship window and keep on chatting in the lobby. and when the game started you were launched immediately.
Probably you looked at the ship stats and clicked on a ship and then closed the ship window.

this can happen if you select a ship right at the end of the previous game, and it ends either just as you start launching or in the moments between selecting a ship and launching.

Thanks anger, if I'd still be playing I'd use this glitch to my advantage, taking off before everyone else.

it might be possible to do this solo using a carrier assault game as the set up. if you time it so that when your torpedo destroys the carrier a split second after the respawn timer lapses (i think every 10 seconds at some offset), and suicide just after launching the torpedo (get to low shield, launch with at least 1500m range)... with a bit of luck, select the next ship you want to insta-launch with in the next game and away you go...

in practice it is near impossible to achieve on purpose. all the times have been flukes

I was in my f3x at launchoff, and half a second after moving I found myself moving freely in side the interior of the carrier.

known glitch. ive had limited success in replicating it by entering menus while waiting for launch, changing throttle etc... launch is very buggy overall

Wasn't that back in the red & blue days? (contrails & team colours used to be fixed as red for pirates & blue for gov; always caused some confusion when you switched sides between matches)

No, it was maybe a week after it went on steam for some hours.
