Farming Empty Farming

Post by Nightwing Sat Oct 27, 2012 1:28 am

I've figured out a way to "credit farm" on Moon Breakers.
Before I tell you how, I'd just like to explain what farming is: Farming is basically playing a video game in such a way that you reap massive rewards with little to no effort.
Now then, the way that I credit farm in Moon Breakers is simple: Find a completely empty server (As in you never see another player), choose either Carrier Assault or CTF, and play.
It's that simple.
S&D won't work for farming, because there are no players for you to shoot down...

We all worked this out long ago... but we don't do it for the creds, we do it for the practice.

Lol that would be so boring. I only play for fun, which is what I thought games were for...

I don't even bother to bomb the carrier in carrier assault even if the team I'm on has no one doing it, simply cause I find that so boring. I don't play to win games, I play for fun.

If you really want to build credit fast, buy enough HE-3 for a X10 boost.

$7.00 pretty cheap and you support the game.
If more of us did this the Devs might change their mind about supporting/exanding the game.

My problem is that my grandfather (Who I live with, BTW...) doesn't like needing to pay for stuff online...
Even $7.00 is too much. Hell, even $0.25 is too much...
That means that I wouldn't be able to get any kind of cred boost...

If you really want to farm for credit, do the following:-

Every half hour or so, join each of the servers in turn. If a game hasn't started, wait for one to start & then exit - no need to select a ship. If the server's empty, select CA then start the game & exit. You'll get credits for each of the games despite the fact that you were only there for 2 seconds & didn't even fly a ship, and the whole process only takes a couple of minutes. If you had a day's He-3 boost it'd really rocket your cred total.

Pretty lousy way to build up cred, and yeah its a head-scratcher as to why MB allows it at all, but if its what you need to do then go for it.

In old days I did 10+ times of CA per day to save up for FH-200 which was priced 1.08M cred. It was a motivation for me to try sinking the carrier faster.
(I had no Paypal nor Google pocket and my credit card application is still pending...)

Longshot's trick is amazing, though it would be very boring as no playing is involved in the process.

it also skews the teams... those instant disconnects you see in some games are (sometimes) people using this trick.

Practice earning the credits is better than a booster or server hopping.

Yes as I said its a lousy way to build up cred. No playing (which is fine if you're at your computer doing other stuff and can't play anyway) and yeah I guess it could help MB skew teams, not that MB needs much help to do that anyway Wink

I used it once when I had the full 16x boost running for a day, got over 2 million cred on that one day. Btw I wouldn't be posting any of this if IMBA showed that they gave a rat's a**e about the game...

The reason that I do the full matches is because it gets me more credits than just popping in and leaving.
I get an average of 5K-7K creds per match by playing, as opposed to 1K for just spending five seconds in-game...
