Nostromo_Crew Empty Nostromo_Crew

Post by Nostromo Fri Jun 29, 2012 1:50 pm

Wow, a decent space faring game and it's FREE. I don't think I've been this happy since Tachyon: The Fringe, and MB has potential to really sweep a market. Because, seriously, when was the last time anyone ever saw a space fighter game pieced together this beautifully?

Let's see, I downloaded this gem from Steam two weeks ago and played for a day and a half, before life interfered and I had to postpone playing. I've recently started again and am loving the game ever so much more than I thought I would. I guess if anything were to describe my method of game play best I would have to quote one of my old classmates who stated during a Halo tourney, 'You're like some dog chasing a mailman, intense and almost oblivious to the can of pepper spray he just unloaded into your face...,'. Sure I get toasted quite a bit, I'm sure there are things I could learn to be smarter about during those big slug fests. But, dammit, am I sure having fun doing it and sometimes I pull stunts out of my butt that I should never have gotten away with.

Also thank you Snubby for introducing me to these boards.

Great to have you.

I feel exactly the same way about the game.

I've seen you out there. Keep up those skills!

I tend to hug the US East region a lot, seems like the most popular place in MB. But, whenever there is a low point I sometimes float through the regions looking for a good fight.

Ah... Your too young. You can do anything at that age with ur body.

I just hate the idea im an addict...Smile I won't drink any till the weekend. Then, i will go for a small holiday with a nice girl. Now i think i will drink one at breakfast to get a little boost. The other problem is that my little belly is sensitive to that drink. It happens to some peeps. Im one of them.

I just miss the flavour of the coffe now...And the habit of drinking it. I have to find something else. I think it will be an apple. Smile

EDIT: Oh crap... Chocholate hunger i have!!!444 AYAY! Very Happy

lol... i have energy drinks to thank for those bloated numbers... actual coffee, when i find good coffee, maybe once a week.

but then with my type of day job containing the potential stress level of an air traffic controller and a stock trader combined, i need the constant buzz... and for gaming of course...

Thats a dangerous combination i think.

Be careful with those shite energy drinks and the constant buzz... I know the feeling. That buzz will explode just exactly at that time, when u do not expect it.

I had a trainee under my control a few years ago. He started the day with an energy drink every day. He ended up at the hospital with heart problems at the age of 19. So...From then, she had to watch out for eveything that can harm his little beater.Just a few drinks she used to say... I just imagined her parents...

Stop drinking that shite mate. Maybe ur a good dogfighter thanks to them, but it wont last long, i can assure u...:S

i pay attention to my health and stop for a while if things start to get abnormal, done me fine so far so ill enjoy it while i can Wink
and you wouldnt be the first to tell me so, but i have to laugh at it sometimes because everyone tells me it will kill me sooner or later (some have said by the time im 20, showed them lol)

Adama wrote: Maybe ur a good dogfighter thanks to them, but it wont last long, i can assure u...:S
no, not really much better because of caffeine... something else though does help to concentrate... discussion for another time though heh...

edit - still not as bad as someone i knew who had anywhere between 15 and 20 coffees a day... worked at a grocery store too...

If u feel only once, that something is bad for u, u should immediately stop it forever.

Those days when it gets abnormal steals life from u imo.

But i had my bad decisions in my life as well, u have the right for urs too. Smile

energy drinks = radioactive horse piss

seriously that stuff its gonna kill you and its not gonna happen in an instant, your internal organs don't regenerate and everytime you drink them it gets worse

i have similar experiences with alcohol i used to drink a lot and walk away as if nothing had happened but now my liver wants payback.
1 day i drank 4 bottles of beer,2 bottles of wine and 1 bottle of genever i got a little drunk only, but last week i drank 2 beers 1 glass of liqueur and 1 glass of wine and my liver decided to revolt against that, dizziness, migraine, nausea all those things that didn't happen when i was younger

I love coffee, not for the caffeine though it helps a lot. I tend to drink dark teas and de-caf coffee on the off hours and at home. Alcohol is an entirely different problem for me, I can't taste different types. All alcohols taste much like medical rubbing alcohol smells like, even mixed drinks with all those stupid sugary additives. I'll 'notice' a difference, but either I'm SOOOO not used to alcohol or my taste buds rebel/hyper sensitive to the alcohol content.

Much like eating super sugary foods will cause some people to lose the taste of the syrup in soda pop drinks, and only taste the carbonated water in it.
