when even a mamba is too much...
there are plenty of comments here already praising the mamba... flying it into most other ships is seen as courageous... but what happens when even the humble mamba is not enough of a handicap? play one handed? pilot two ships from two accounts in one game at the same time? use only the rockets?

Some of the things I came up with when bored:
Use only rockets.
Pretend to be a tracking missile.
Approach them gently and tenderly hump them to death.
Stalk them up close like a creepy person without firing a shot.
You'd be surprised how many people just give up trying to shoot at you with that last one.

stalking is hilarious.... more fun than smacking them down.... especially with A80 owners... just stay out of missile lock they get so frustrated......

Just flying taking evasive action and engaging without firing. You'd be surprised how long you can last without killing an opponent.

i have to be honest and say that if people stopped going to euro as a default, this would not be a problem for me. (im boycotting euro server because playing on that much ping it is more convenient to play from the moon)

Hey! Stop complaining!
As you use your brain powers to aim and fly while you are on the toilette, we need some handicap, don't you think? Keep that lag thing, please!

lol... i guess i am looking for a challenge, or some new way to improve my skills... although, would it be wise for me to learn how to use that 500 ping in my favor? it won't be a handicap for very long, and things will get very interesting then...

LOL and I thought this was my idea. I do this in some of those really unbalanced matches.

Re: when even a mamba is too much...
Nukespam is very funny.
There is a guy, called RTH. He always comes out with his Bison. Parks in the middle of the map, and starts the area attacks from distance. XD
I love flying around him with lighter sniper ships. XD Very funny, i love those parties.
After all it is a game.

well, the only answer to the nuke spam... is more nuke spam :)I remember one game where 90% players ends in B7 (B10T etc.) and nuke spaming... it was one huge blast, kinda fun but I really do not want to every time
but if you are bored using mamba, I think that the B7 could be an answer... you can try to hunt down another ships instead of being a generic bomber

really? I played with/against RTH a couple of times and I never see that, I remember him as FH-250 pilot... but my memory is quite out of memory and there are so many pilots...
Adama, are you going to play tonight? we could do some F3 matches

I read that wrong...
I think you read it correctly, just misinterpreted the meaning
Re: when even a mamba is too much...
well, its obvious double-meaning expression (at least in my language, dunno how it works in english )

It's certainly got a double meaning In English, we borrow a french word and call it a double-entendre when it's got a secondary, usually sexual meaning.
You can make a triple-entendre (or even quadruple!), but those are usually much more difficult to work into anything other than scripted dialogue.
Re: when even a mamba is too much...
well... 500 ping is no longer an impediment. i don't know if that is exemplary in any way, but certainly has its advantages... only beams are annoying to aim on that kind of ping, and really this is only because the packet rate is slower on higher ping so players jump around more often from my POV. even then...
i have to point out that ping does not change the skill factor. however, the larger the ping, the more it needs to be 'used' in order to stay on top. how? won't bore you with the details, but having a large ping allows you to sneak up on people and give chase much much more easily. the reverse is true too, you're just as vulnerable with high ping.
otherwise i may have to indeed start dogfighting with a rhino...
shooting down missiles with beams is not practical on euro for me, sadly... having something that small teleport around mid-flight while pretending to be 500m further than it is, is inhuman to hit lol. anywhere else though, watch out

Here's a handicap; bounce around somewhere(carrier, moon) and just try to not let them destroy you! Another is just go right through the carrier through the hanger bay...and try to rush through without getting blown up.
