yeah... just some small things that are starting to annoy me with the forum itself...

1. 'only admins are allowed to see this link/image'
irritating... *shudder*... having to change all my URL tags to something else...

2. (sometimes) when posting to a thread, the page redirects to the end of the thread to see your own post. this should be counted as having read the post and the thread should not appear as 'unread', no? well, sometimes after posting it still thinks i havent viewed the thread even when it redirects to the thread after the post-confirmed screen
again, irritating but not urgent...

anyone else?

I see your 1st issue every time Longshot posts something, and I'm the admin...

I'll look into these.

Shhhh, that's exactly what it is Wink

I believe the second issue is something to do with the host server needing a little time to catch up. Still investigating.

I wrote it there because nearly every link, image or video I post ends up as "only admins are allowed to see this blah" for everyone else, hoping an admin would one day look into the problem.

Can you post a link so I can see an example?

A link posted here may or may not work - since the trouble started a few months back, a short vid I posted in the videos section was visible to everyone, but anything I posted in the DMH private forums was admins-only.

I'll try ... The Sydney Morning Herald

That link worked fine for me. Weather in Sydney looks comparable to here; 12-16 C, windy with rain.
Send me a PM with a topic link to a DMH post you made and I'll try it there.

The "Only Admins can see this" issue should be resolved now; link & image permissions on most of the squad pages wasn't set properly but is now.

Can anyone confirm this? I can't see it myself...

links in DMH working.

also, re #2 - still happening and quite frequently. think i know why now, the session object is being written to too quickly - load 2 pages at the same time (so one starts before the next finished processing on the server) and it may not register that you looked at one of them.

Glad to hear the admin-only issue is cleared up.

As for the second, I believe you're right; I've noticed it much more frequently with multiple tabs open (Chrome), usually when checking the latest posts.
Not sure if there's anything that can be done about that, but I'll check out the support forum.
