Re: Scratch's Battlecry of the... moment
Umm... Is a chant-like thing alright?
If so, here's mine:
"In valleys of dusk, in oceans unbound.
In rivers of blood, in skies of black.
I shall never fall, for my spirit is of stone and my will of iron tempered.
In these words of mine, I vow to fight, I vow to make my enemies tremble before me.
For I am the whisper in the wind, the predator on silent wings.
I am the master of the dark, he who haunts the dreams of sinners.
I bow to no one.
I am... Nightwing."

reading your poem reminds me of the slogan morgan freeman repeats in the trailer for inviticus: the last lines of a poem of the same name..
It matters not how straight the gate
How charged with punishments the scroll
I am the master of my fate
I am the captain of my soul
- William Ernest Henley, inviticus
I can totally imagine morgan freeman reading your poem LOL

oh... and sure, battle chants can count. As a GM i've creeped players out with battle chanting enemies.
Particularly before a defensive fight, when they can hear them in the distance, don't yet know exactly what their up against, but whatever they are, they clearly know the PC's names, which are incorporated into the chant.

some EU west players may have noticed a certain person yelling FOR KITTENS every time he launches.
Replace kittens with other cute animals as appropriate.

Here's mine:
DIE!
I know it's kind of short but I think there's a certain depth to it, don't you think?
I've considered maybe adding some more to it like:
ARGH!

"Turn and burn boys!"
occasionally,
"who wants to die?"
and of course the perennial:
"Bomber, Bomber, Bomber!"

I tend to stick with murmuring "come on" over and over under my breath, right until I get a good shot on someone. Then it just kinda turns into a mindless shout until I run out of breath... or they die, whichever happens first.
