question on in-game chat
In the middle of a match, someone posted a comment saying something about using "shift + enter to talk like this", but the comment disappeared before I could read it all. I tried shift + enter and sure enough, the usual grey text box was now red.
Can anyone explain?
Cheers.

Re: question on in-game chat
"Enter" = your team chat only
"Shift-Enter" = chat to both sides / everyone in the match
(...and if it happens to be the other way around, my apologies)

Re: question on in-game chat
Thanks jazzy
I assumed the other way round but I'm still not sure.
The shift enter box always seems to be red no matter
which team I'm on ... I think?
I was guessing blue box for blue team talk,
red for red and grey for all.
maybe next time we meet we could figure it out.

Pretty sure shift enter is the global chat. Regular enter is team only.

Re: question on in-game chat
Shift+enter + red/global chat
enter = team chat
Jazzy , Grey your instincts are correct.

So think of red-chat background as a "Careful! this will be read by both teams! ARE YOU SURE?" warning.

Re: question on in-game chat
yes that would be correct.
It is best used for spamming the forum address, mocking your opponents, and bitching about how much the game mode/players/ships suck.
Well really just the forum thing for me, but others have clearly made use of the other two.
