No teams. Every man woman and Child (snubby...) for himself! S&D only most likely, but that would be kinda fun methinks (as long as jack wasn't in the game, he's too dang good)

Negative, respawn limit would encourage hiding. The game would go from a hectic brawl to a frustrating game of hide and seek.

It won't if you add an elimination timer! Player with the longest time (n seconds) since their last kill loses a respawn. Thinking a minimum of 60 seconds from last kill or launch, given that some maps are large, but make it configurable.

Bonus creds for # of respawns remaining at match end.

Where would everyone respawn from? You'd each have your own carrier?

Two game modes:
1.SnD, infinite re spawns (you warp jump into the edge of the map)
2.Survival of the Fittest, a more tactical game where you only have a few lives... problem is that your oxygen (or similar overtime measure) is low and you need to get kills to get more else you die and lose that life.

Swedish - All players spawn with only one life. When you are killed you go into observer mode. As soon as the player who killed you is killed, you come back into play. The game ends when one player manages to kill all others without dying or time ends.

How about a Dropped Cargo game where a certain amount of cargo is spit out of a "factory" ship and players goal is to pick it up and bring it to any one of four or five scattered pawn brokers.

Any player could shoot any other and pick up any cargo dropped like CTF. Respawn would be at a random "gate" or "wrecker" also scattered. Players could speed run cargo or ambush speeders with missile firing heavies or beam ships. Bombers could try to tank it out or nuke chasing fighters.
