new type of bombing

I got an idea... what about using a beams for bombing the carrier?

It could work like that: it will be secondary weapon (obviously) and after holding rmb the bomber starts to load the beams (with a little ass shake ); the speed falls to 0 and after a some time of loading(6 sec as torpedo? maybe a little more, because unlike tops it could not be stopped/destroyed otherwise you will crush the bomber) the bomber releases a straight huge beam blast, killing everything in the way, and damaging the carrier...

I know there are no responses from the devs recently, but what do you think about it?

but a bit too safe for the bomber side...maybe the "laser" should be visible for all the time 6 (i would say 10) needed for charge . pluss 5 second off real beam damage lasting 5 second.
befor the damage will take effect it need the total of 15 seconds...than would be ok since is a far shooting , if i got it right ...and furthermore ..if even there will be other changes in the game.

I like the idea. I would limit the range of the "Nuke laser" to 1000m or less, that would force the bomber to get close to use it. If the bomber were forced to not move while arming, he would be a sitting duck for the carrier defenders. I think this balances the device nicely.
It reminds me of the Wave Motion Cannon, a super cannon from a bad anime cartoon called Star Blazers, it was cool when I was 8.

and also used in the game Oni by the first mini-boss. you could spawn it with cheats, but it was so heavy you could only walk with it.

When I was 8 it was the coolest thing on TV, I remember running all the way home from school so I wouldn't miss the beginning. When I was 16 a friend of mine got a hold of a bootleg vhs tape of several episodes, I was so excited, but when I watched it I was really disappointed. The series is really melodramatic, and the story is not very believable. But, it clearly has some awesome elements. Thanks for posting those links here. I know I'm sharing them with my brother who was a huge fan.
