Training Games
A game that I play on Steam is called Star Conflict. Though the HUD may not be the same, they have about the same controls and same things on the HUD. Rolling is allowed, and Arcade mode allows PVP, while scenarios allow you to work with other players to fight AI's. This game, with similar controls, may help newbies on MB to get used to controls and aiming ahead of enemies to shoot them.

Re: Training Games
I've heard that Star Conflict has none of the integral drift mechanic that Moonbreakers uses.
Best way to get better at Moonbreakers is to play Moonbreakers. At least you earn more creds for yourself.

moonbreakers is fairly unique, the best you can do is find games that push your reflexes and attention. these are not on steam but they have helped me plenty in this regard - quake 3 (specifically the fobik mod) and classic unreal tournament. be sure to use max bot difficulty to really push yourself...

Re: Training Games
another one for the list: shootmania. the rough equivalent of a G5 free-for-all with strange notions about jumping and running.
