...how can a single Mamba defend against the whole load of sniper fire and homing rockets? I've tried to twist and turn like tornado but nothing's helping. It always ends up with me getting blown up and it's really irritating.

Trackers? Master your ret-dets and use those to intercept them. Sniping lasers? Try to stay behind rocks and such as much as possible.

Practice makes perfect always. Like Brodur said, using remote detonation rockets is a great way to destroy missiles. Also, try not to fly in a predictable way. (eg. straight line) Even then, many people who are quite good at this game sometimes have trouble with those who have great beam aim. xD

Also upgrade the Mamba. Once upgraded it can be a pretty good ship and with the shields fully upgraded I think its capable of surviving a beam shot from FM-25s.

It's really tough on new players; anyone with any ship and a bit of practice is almost unbeatable as a rookie until you stick with it long enough to learn some of the tricks and techniques.

Check here for a gameplay tip list; this should answer many of your questions to start and give you some ideas on how to take on those tougher opponents. If there's anything on the list you'd like some clarification for, let us know and we'll be happy to help.

is really not, no light fighter does; it could survive a single beam (M3, M10), but its smoking like hell after hit (about 10% hp)

for perspective, un-upgraded medium ships will explode from dual-beams if both hit.

Simple things you need to do:

• Get a better ship (G5 for example)
• Get some upgrades
• Get some experience
• Get a life
• Don't fear the death: dying is the best learning experience
• Get some cred to buy stuff
• Get your own computer

Be careful though because all this "Having a go" at her might make you look like the bad one that causes the trouble.

Just advice Smile

Ah...

It is a shame, u guys (Starbuck and Ravenstar) cannot get on well.

Your too young, both of you. Just simply keep ur temper and be patient.

It is also funny to see you blame each other for everything. XD

And Starbuck: Listen to nite's advice. Razz Smile

There's a new problem I faced today: nukes. I know how to remote-detonate the rockets and I can blow the nukes away, but, for example B-10X, has so good weapons and shields I have no chance against them.

Any tips?

use the anti-stationary-g5 tactics on other threads. same idea in taking out b10x imbeciles. and no its not a cruel label at all; they have the hp to do it better than a g5, their fault if they cant use it to survive an attack no matter how cheap it is Very Happy
