New to the forum
Hi everyone,
I've been playing for a few weeks but only just found this forum (very nice too!).
Just invested in 2500 He3 and fully upgraded a Barracuda...well worth it. Although my kill count has risen significantly, I'm not the hardest player to kill either. I'm not one of those who bear a grudge when I'm shot down often...just love this manic game!
See you out there,
Ruff.

Re: New to the forum
You should learn to bear a grudge and harbour it well Pilot.
If a newbie in a Mamba takes down your expertly driven X99 after your weeks of hard credit saving and skill fine-tuning then they should pay and pay and pay until they can cry no more tears and their lungs ache from sobbing.
The chances are they will carry that lesson with them for the rest of their existence and will hopefully affect such decisions as whether to continue with their further education or have children. Whether to venture out at night or wait until the safety of the daylight. Whether to visit Gran in hospital or stay at home drinking copious amounts of vodka.
That's how Marvin rolls.
Out.
P.S. Welcome to the forum! Enjoy the game! It's a nice crew here

Thanks for the warm welcome all
I think the last part of your message hit the nail right on the head Marvin...it's usually after consuming a little too much alcohol that I get shot down frequently. In which case, I'd only have myself to blame there

Heya there Ruff!
No hard grudges here, just hard knocks! Glad you enjoy the game, always good to have another enthusiastic pilot amongst the stars (to shoot or be shot by!)
If you're so inclined make sure you drop by the Vent server to take the fun and hilarity of the game to a whole new level... Trust me, you won't regret it! Fair warning though — it can get rowdy!

Hi jazzycat,
Thanks for the invite to the Vent server I'll try to drop by there a bit later and set up. Just a tad busy atm though...packing for my hols So if you don't see "Old Ruffo" after tuesday for two weeks, it's because I'll be flying missions from the pool to the bar around the clock in Mexico

Whoo! Awesome holidays are awesome! Sink some of that good tequila and quesadillas for us when you get there, and we'll see you when you get back.
I won't be on the vent server for a few hours yet being +10GMT/Australia East Coast and this thing called work that keeps interrupting me (lol), but I'm sure the others will give you a friendly welcome. Any issues setting up vent, just ask Snubby — he's the Wizard for a reason!

Yea...work eh jazzycat, it's a pain! I'll be working hard under the Sombrero, quaffing the tequila for sure though...it's a dirty job but someone has to do it
And hi there Twighlight Sparkle. I'll be counting on the theory of "no up or down in space"...the tequila should stay in the glass during any manouvre
See you out there and good hunting.

Tequila in glass; check
Inertial dampeners engaged; check
Libation securely fastened to bottom of container; check
"Then Fire!, God damn it!".

My microphone is playing silly buggers atm Snubby, so vent may have to wait until I can get a new one. Sorry

Re: New to the forum
Well you can just listen. That way typing noobs like myself don't have to try to. Lots of folks don't have mics in vent. Don't let that discourage you.

Re: New to the forum
Thanks for the welcome Viking Jack and Agent of Change I'm now having trouble on vent setup...it won't even let me enter the port number and server name I've used vent extensively in the past but I've never run into these problems before. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance
